Doodle 4 Doodle

Creators are now revealed, and that brings Doodle 4 Doodle to a close for 2025. The collection is now unmoderated, and will remain open for any late treats anyone may want to post.

To all of our participants: thank you for your interest and support!! From those who nominated, to those who doodled, and those who pinch hit: we couldn't have done this without you. I hope everyone has had a lovely Doodle 4 Doodle. <3 I personally have had a blast running this exchange, and I suspect I'll be browsing through the collection for the next couple of weeks.

Looking Ahead to Spring

• an art exchange, with a minimum set at something higher than a doodle and a longer creation period to accomodate the higher minimum.
• M or E rated art exchange, with a minimum set at something higher than a doodle and with optional freeforms that act as suggestions/prompts about what to draw (e.g. no freeform matching). A longer creation period to accomodate the higher minimum.
• M or E rated doodle exchange, with a doodle minimum and with optional freeforms that act as suggestions/prompts. (e.g. no freeform matching). Would run in basically the same timeframe as D4D, but with more time for nominations before signups begin.
• Another round of Doodle 4 Doodle with more or less the same rules. Would run in basically the same timeframe as D4D, but there would be more time for nominations before signups begin.

Tentative start date would be in the middle of March or the middle of April. I may lean towards one month or another depending on people's feedback about when they're available.

So that's what I'm currently thinking; I'd love to hear your thoughts!!

Please don't remove or significantly change the fandom or tag part of requests after you post them unless you are adding additional requests/tags! If you need to withdraw a fandom from this post, contact me on the screened mod contact post or email me so I'm in the loop about significant changes.

Instructions for Filling PHer Requests

Pinch hitter treats should follow all Doodle 4 Doodle assignment/treat requirements. Gifts to pinch hitters should:

• Fulfill a fandom/tag combo & respect their DNWs
• Be of any pixel dimension/size (400x400 pixels is the minimum for assignments. There is no minimum size for treats!)
• Be any medium that involves drawing or painting
• Can additionally be any other mediums that are eligible for treats (including vids, manips, graphic design/layout, collages, voxel/3D art that doesn't include additional drawn or painted elements)

• You can't find your assignment in your AO3 Assignments page
• You were assigned a fandom/character/ship you didn't actually offer. (Do please check to see if you matched on Creator's Choice of Doodle or Recipients OCs, though!)
• There are any other questions about your assignment, or questions for your recipient.

If you'd like a refresher on the minimum requirements for the exchange, or how defaulting in D4D works, please see these sections below! Very briefly:

• the minimum of art is a doodle that is 400x400 pixels that has some element of drawing or painting
• and if you've received an assignment you don't vibe with, you can default without penalty and pick up an assignment you like more from the pinch hit list. There is no penalty for defaulting with the default button.

As I mentioned in the previous post, after I ran matching, everyone was matchable on offers! However, some recipients did not have a potential giver. Those recipients will be going out as initial pinch hits. That post will be up shortly!
