There's just a little over 24 hours left before the tagset closes for nominations! (countdown)

Signups continue through Sunday evening in the Pacific time zone (countdown to signups closing), so there's still time to join up if you're interested!

Creator’s Choice of Subject (Facehugger Concept Sketch)

Nominator, when I queried this tag with my group of fandom tag helpers, none of us could decide what "subject" referred to. Some of us thought "subject" referred to someone being face-hugged, and some of us thought that "subject" referred to the facehugger itself (and one of us thought it might be the egg).

To remove ambiguity, could we reword this tag? If you need more than one tag to cover all of the possibilities you are interested in, we can add them all to the tagset for you!

Hiya! I’m the nomination for the face hugger sketch, and I’m happy for it to be reworded. My plan was to give the artist completely free rein to draw whatever they want to inspired by the sketch, so perhaps ‘subject matter’ might be better?

The sketch I mean is the one at the very top of this blogpost, btw: https://alienexplorations.blogspot.com/2015/03/the-facehugger-preproduction-concept.html. I wasn’t entirely sure if this was the best way to nominate it, or indeed if it could be nominated at all. 😆

I love that sketch. It has so much personality and energy. :'D Since you're open to anything, how does this sound for a tag?

Anything creator is inspired to draw from this sketch (Facehugger Concept Sketch)

It removes the "what does the tag mean by 'subject', is what I'm drawing a legitimate fill for this tag?" loop that several of us had when viewing the tag, and leaves it up to your creator to explore whatever idea they feel inspired to make!
