Creators Revealed! + feedback about next event

Creators are now revealed, and that brings Doodle 4 Doodle to a close for 2025. The collection is now unmoderated, and will remain open for any late treats anyone may want to post.

To all of our participants: thank you for your interest and support!! From those who nominated, to those who doodled, and those who pinch hit: we couldn't have done this without you. I hope everyone has had a lovely Doodle 4 Doodle. <3 I personally have had a blast running this exchange, and I suspect I'll be browsing through the collection for the next couple of weeks.

Looking Ahead to Spring

Before I close this round of the event, I would like to ask the Doodle 4 Doodle community if you would be interested in a doodle or art exchange during spring 2026. If you are interested in participating in an art exchange in spring, which idea would you be most interested in?

• an art exchange, with a minimum set at something higher than a doodle and a longer creation period to accomodate the higher minimum.
• M or E rated art exchange, with a minimum set at something higher than a doodle and with optional freeforms that act as suggestions/prompts about what to draw (e.g. no freeform matching). A longer creation period to accomodate the higher minimum.
• M or E rated doodle exchange, with a doodle minimum and with optional freeforms that act as suggestions/prompts. (e.g. no freeform matching). Would run in basically the same timeframe as D4D, but with more time for nominations before signups begin.
• Another round of Doodle 4 Doodle with more or less the same rules. Would run in basically the same timeframe as D4D, but there would be more time for nominations before signups begin.

Tentative start date would be in the middle of March or the middle of April. I may lean towards one month or another depending on people's feedback about when they're available.

So that's what I'm currently thinking; I'd love to hear your thoughts!!

I'm a big fan of E-rated art (especially creating; any rating of what I receive is perfect :D), so those options will always get my vote, but the all-ratings options are equally great! :D I don't have any opinion on minimums.

I have a preference for all-ratings but I'll still try to participate in a smut(/violence?) themed exchange!
No opinion on minimums.
No opinion on optional freeforms as long as they're optional.

Otherwise, no preference. I liked d4d as it was, but those variations (freeform prompts and/or higher min) also sound fun.

Thank you so much for running this and filling the MFD-shaped hole in my heart! Still a bit sad that the timeline made it basically impossible for me to do treats (so many things on my plate...) but just knowing an art exchange still remains makes me happy <3

As for your query, I would LOVE an M/E art exchange, not going to lie, but otherwise I don't have any strong feelings whatsoever.

I vote for another round of Doodle4Doodle.
I do not feel conficdent in my artistic ability if the minimum is any higher, and I also don't feel confident drawing people (for M/E rating of some form).
So I likely wouldn't participate in any of the other options.

I also want just more Doodle4Doodle as is. I don’t have any interest in drawing M or E content so wouldn’t participate in that regardless of the minimum/freeforms. This was my first art exchange and it was really fun!

My vote would be for another all ratings doodle round; I think that format motivates people to try more things than we would in a regular art exchange!

Thank you for running a lovely event! I would definitely participate in another all ratings doodle round, and am hoping to grow my skills and confidence to a point of being comfortable signing up for a higher minimum art exchange, but would not do an event that was exclusively m/e.

I'd definitely participate in another doodle exchange. I think the doodle aspect is important for partipation, though I personally would also be thrilled with a exchange for Trying Really Excessively Hard. So I like either idea! Andddd I would participate either way, on the ratings front. Maybe it could be all ratings with an optional M/E Enthusiast freeform? Not sure! I will take D4D any way you run it.

I love the inclusivity and low pressure of the doodle minimum, but I'd never say no to making the creation period longer anyway, just to allow for more time to go ham / treats.

I love the idea of non-matching freeforms just for the extra prompt information.

If you plan to run multiple events per yearly cycle, I would LOVE a secondary standalone M/E one in addition to another D4D round.

But if not, I think some kind of rating opt-in field would be really helpful. Maybe for ease of matching, everyone opts in to T and below by default, but can check whether they also would accept M/E? Or some kind of sub-collection? (Also maybe archive warning opt-ins?) As someone who does primarily erotic art, I definitely would feel more confident with the extra official assurance that my recipient is enthusiastic about it too.

I don't think I'm good enough at human anatomy to draw good M/E content but I do think it'd be a cool exchange to have.

Or if doing a broader exchange I agree some sort of opt in for higher ratings to make it clear when they're welcome would be a good idea. Adding in explicit yes or no for sex and/or violence in the signup might be good for encouraging people to make stuff like that.

I'd love to do another art exchange again in the spring! This one was tons of fun and everyone involved was super nice. Either a doodle minimum or higher requirement would be great. I wouldn't participate in an M/E event, though- I'm a SFW kinda person ♥
